Preschool Director

Description:

Our client is looking to hire a Preschool Director to provide a quality preschool education in a structured Christian environment that meets the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs for infants through children six years of age.

This person will serve as the point of contact between the Church, staff, and families while ensuring the health, safety, and education of all children in the school's care.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and hire qualified staff. Working with the Assistant Director, ensure onboarding for new staff including expectations, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Develop strong relationships of trust and respect with the staff through clear and effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Ensure the implementation of consistent grade level standards using a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Locate and/or provide appropriate training opportunities for staff in partnership with the Assistant Director. (Assistant Director to plan / implement training with input from the Director).
  • Support staff on an on-going basis through regular classroom observation. Provide periodic check-ins, on-going feedback and hold annual reviews.
  • Hold regular staff meetings.
  • Handle and document HR issues (in coordination with HR partners if necessary) including separation, termination, and staff and employee relations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Education Administration preferred
  • At least five years of experience working in an Early Childhood environment in a preschool setting. The ideal candidate would have at least three additional years in a supervisory role (such as lead teacher, director, assistant director, or program coordinator). Five additional years in a leadership or supervisory role is preferable.

Compensation:

  • $75,000-$85,000 (depending on experience)
  • Benefits including health, dental, and retirement savings plan

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday
  • 8- 5:30
