Position

KPMG is seeking a Director, Tech Engineering to join our Tax Ignition Group.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the response to clients' security inquiries.
  2. Meet with clients to address security questions and negotiate controls for gaps between client requirements and our offerings.
  3. Drive innovation in the security inquiry process, including integrating AI, creating collateral like whitepapers, managing metrics, and enhancing tooling and interactions.
  4. Partner with internal teams to incorporate trends into product roadmaps and raise awareness of security requirements.
  5. Review and respond to security questionnaires and assessments.
  6. Build and maintain a knowledge base of common client questions.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum ten years of recent experience in IT security compliance, risk management, or related fields within a large organization, preferably in professional services or highly regulated environments.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  3. Deep understanding of cloud architecture, modern software development, and security controls; Azure experience preferred.
  4. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work globally with diverse cultures.
  5. Proven experience in client-facing security roles, with a focus on inquiries, negotiations, and relationship management; experience with innovation and process improvements.
  6. Knowledge of industry standards such as COBIT, NIST, ISO; certifications like CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Auditor, CRISC, CIPP, CGEIT, or ITIL preferred.
  7. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
