Senior Physical (Outdoor) Substation Engineer

Position Overview: Mesa is seeking an experienced (8+ years) BSEE or BSME for a role in Power Substation Physical Design. The candidate should have experience in Power Substation Engineering Design within the US Power industry and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform accurate Physical Substation design.
2. Use Autocad/MicroStation to create deliverables.
3. Interact with clients, meeting schedule and budget requirements.
4. Support project scoping and attend site visits in the greater Carolina region.
5. Mentor junior engineers and designers.
6. Review team members' work and ensure safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSEE or BSME from an ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience in the power utility industry.

Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer registration or the ability to obtain it is a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and strong communication skills are required.
