Responsibilities

MV is seeking a demonstrated leader to join the organization as a General Manager. This individual will have primary responsibility for the overall operating performance of fixed route and paratransit bus operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
• Communicate effectively and frequently with location staff and support team members.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance plans and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements.
• Oversee safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct departmental audits periodically.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Manage financial metrics continuously, report exceptions, and develop action plans to meet financial, safety, and operational expectations.
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Interact with the bridges committee to effectuate positive policy, procedure, and program changes.
• Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
• Provide insights and information to support contract renewals.
• Create and present the location's annual budget.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• College degree or equivalent business management experience.
• Management experience required.
• At least three (3) years' experience in a similar operation.
• Minimum of eight (8) years in public transportation operations, including five (5) years of upper-level supervisory experience.
• Expertise in labor/union negotiations and expenses.
• Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and DOT/FTA safety compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
• Additional duties may be assigned based on individual contract requirements.
