What You'll Be Doing

Job Summary: Responsible for business development to improve our market position and achieve financial growth. Collaborates with leaders to define strategic goals, build customer relationships, identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and stay informed about market conditions. This work is performed under general supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and other means.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Identify potential clients and decision makers.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Arrange meetings between clients and Hargrove leaders.
  • Develop proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Lead proposal efforts and participate in pricing.
  • Handle objections and work towards positive conclusions.
  • Present a professional image aligned with the client's.
  • Attend industry events and provide market feedback.
  • Identify and develop unique selling propositions based on market knowledge.

Ideal Background

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Business Development/Sales, preferably selling for an EPC firm, with understanding of engineering, design, and project management in an industrial setting.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, presentation, networking, proofreading skills, and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
