We are seeking a Great Plains & Service Finance Business Analyst to join our team. This position will be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States or at our corporate headquarters in Duncan, SC.

TheGreat Plains Services Finance Business Analyst works in close partnership with the Manager - Great Plains & Services, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Business Process Owners, Developers, and End Users, to optimize and automate finance and commercial business processes specific to the Dynamics Great Plains application. The position plays a key role in identifying opportunities to add business value, pursue improved or new technology functionality, and drive the maximum level of standardization of business processes and technology across the entire corporation. This includes developing business cases, gathering detailed business and systems requirements and user stories/journeys to deploy Great Plains based solution(s) or add-ons. This candidate must be able to facilitate business process sessions with our stakeholders, document processes, build business requirements & design solutions. The Dynamics GP ERP & Services Finance Business Analyst will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders. Being results-focused, tenacious and a problem solver is necessary for this role. The candidate will need to demonstrate experience researching, understanding, and applying knowledge of Great Plains capabilities/functionality to business needs within a global organization.

The primary focus of this position is supporting our Finance organization and the various Services Businesses on Great Plains through planning, designing, testing, and deploying efficient information systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. An extensive understanding of finance and Great Plains is required. The primary focus of this role is working with operational postings (SOP/POP) with a good understanding of finance, GL, MR and SSRS.

Responsibilities
  • Understand, document, and analyze the current state of the business processes
  • Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment of our Great Plains Application
  • Understand, validate, and document business needs, distinguish between needs and wants, identify gaps between business needs and standard functionality, design specification for developers as appropriate
  • As project assignments allow, participate in the support/analysis/resolution of critical production application issues to protect end users' ability to run the business
  • Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Control processes, requirements gathering and translation, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing/Conference Room Pilots, sign-off, training, and implementation
  • Develop, document, and fully execute test plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups and modifications, enhancements/customizations, and patches.
  • Manage assigned project/enhancements using Service Now ITBM
  • Identify/document tasks/deliverables, create project schedules, assign tasks, perform project oversight, and provide project status
  • Work with management/team members/users to ensure project stays on schedule and negotiate/adjust resources and priorities
  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training/demos/presentations as required
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation in flowchart and narrative form as necessary to support compliance (External Audit, JSOX, International Trade)
  • Help to establish team priorities based on statutory requirements, fiscal impact, and operational impact to the business
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Detailed below are the subject areas of expertise:
  • Supporting the daily needs of users on the GP application to include application specific questions, details on application functionality, security/user profiles and problem/issue resolution
  • SOP (Sales Order Processing) and POP (Purchase Order Processing)
  • Job Costing Module (Wennsoft)
  • User Administration
  • General Ledger and Financial Transaction processing ensuring service for each close process (monthly, quarterly, year end)
  • Experience with acquisitions and merging acquired businesses to GP
  • Batch Processing
  • Printing / Labeling / Forms
  • SSRS, Smart Lists
  • MR - Management Reporter
  • e-Connect / understand interfacing and extracting data with GP
  • Power BI and WennSoft experience is a plus

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of experience or experience and training, Accounting and finance credits / CPA is a major plus.
  • 5-8 years' Dynamics Great Plains ERP Experience (GP Version 2016 and newer).
  • 2+ years' Business Relationship Management, Project Management / Coordination.
  • Planning skills include project coordination and management, planning and scheduling, time management and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of business processes as they relate to assigned area of focus in a diverse services organization.
  • Strong process orientation with proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology-based implementation.
  • Results-focused, tenacious, multi-tasking problem solver, capable of complex thinking and analysis.
  • Strong business acumen: Establish and maintain effective relationships, develop business cases and ROIs for solution design proposals, Project, and technical documents (Project Plans, Visio Diagrams, Presentations and Business Requirements Documents.
  • Be able to handle multiple deadlines on multiple projects in an agile environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
