Perform R and R studies on measuring equipment; Assign calibration intervals to each individual gage, taking into consideration: Calibration quality desired Out-of-tolerance parameters Frequency of use Calibration and maintenance cost. Interpret drawing requirements relative to inspection/calibration procedures for functional gages; Assures the correct function of all test equipment and make repairs and adjustments when warranted; Write purchase requisitions for all metrology and calibration services for Q. A. and manufacturing needs; Order gauges to replace worn or lost gauging; Establish and maintain a listing of qualified calibration service companies; Assist the quality supervisor in performing special assignments and tasks; Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process; Work on other duties and special projects ...Quality Technician, Calibration, Technician, 1st Shift
