The First-Year Experience (FYE) Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that support the academic, social, and personal success of first-year students at Spartanburg Community College. As a key leader within the Student Success division, the FYE Director develops programs and services that promote engagement, persistence, and retention of first-year students, with a particular emphasis on students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. This position requires strong collaboration with faculty, staff, and community partners to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for first-year students.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs. Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field. At least three years of professional experience in student services, academic support, or program management, preferably in a community college setting. Occasional nights and/or weekends may be required for special events or travel for seminars/conferences.
