BridgeWorks is hiring a Production Manager in a Chemical Environment

1st shift

This is a Direct Hire Position

  • The primary role is to supervise all aspects of the people and assign them to their responsibility in accordance with the priority list. Need to be a great communicator and proven people skills are required.
  • Ensure production schedule is maintained by making necessary corrections and adjustments to schedule, making certain the employees are maintaining maximum performance. Reports issues that may result in schedule not being maintained to management immediately.
  • Appraises employees' productivity, efficiency and performance reporting concerns to your supervisor
  • Develops and maintains a capable, flexible, and motivated workforce by continuous education, cross-training, compliance training and maximizing employee effectiveness.
  • Mentor employees to help drive business performance.
  • Perform a daily review of the past 24 hours at the beginning of your day, and successfully manage production to maintain a positive upkeep of production, scheduling the orders, staging the product for shipping, the shipping schedule, Customer Service, Order raw materials, working with tankers and trucks coming in-out for shipping & receiving loads,
  • Manage the daily production KPIs to report the shifts' performance, daily
  • Lead the daily integration including Safety, Quality Engineering, and Maintenance representation
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to coordinate planned production activities
  • Create the daily plan based on the output of the daily review, integration, and meetings - Maintain the production schedule
  • Support problem-solving activities related to safety, quality, and performance on the production floor
  • Manage, develop and coach the Shift Employees to ensure team effectiveness
  • Partner with Shift Employees to share accountability for improving and sustaining autonomous and preventative maintenance needs by the Operators
  • Support for all continuous improvement efforts which include the implementation of new standards, procedures, and improvements
Qualifications
  • A College Degree or Direct Experience with a Production Manager role/Chemical Environment*
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
  • Six Sigma preferred
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in a high-volume operation
  • A Change Agent mindset
