Description:

MAU is hiring a Material Specialist for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Material Specialist, you will implement shop floor storage strategies, monitor material picks, and support continuous improvement projects. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.

Shift Information:

  • Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Essential Functions:

  • Implement shop floor storage strategy for NPI parts arriving in Greenville.
  • Monitor and support the execution of daily material picks.
  • Implement Lean material picking and presentation methods for the shop floor team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects within the shop floor and cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Investigate quality defects, analyze root causes, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Aid in investigations of material shortages.
  • Develop a system for accurate stocking of materials received at the factory.
  • Complete all required training within defined timelines.
  • Work with shop floor management to maintain accurate stocking levels and improve cycle count processes.
  • Attend daily Gemba walks and monitor KPIs related to SQDC targets.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with modern ERP systems, such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical and system proficiency skills.
  • Experience implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interface at all management levels.
