POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping Lead assists the Shipping Supervisor with operations and is accountable for ensuring scheduled movement of finished product and raw materials are executed in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate process flow and scheduling for the shipping and receiving area.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills of all jobs within the department.
Coach and mentor shipping and receiving employees.
Ensure required paperwork is completed for pre and post shift activities.
Ensure team members follow GMP/QA, sanitation and procedures.
Make recommendations or improvements to the Shipping Supervisor.
Notate process irregularities and communicate with team members to correct problems.
Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using FIFO system.
Ensure compliance for loading and replenishment of partial pallets.
Responsible for ensuring trucks and trailers are loaded accurately per order requests.
Safely utilize yard mule for transportation of raw materials.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and perform basic mathematical functions.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and retain a class A CDL.
Forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, see, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
