Description:

The Director of End User Device Management will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and execution of end-user device services across the organization. This role ensures the seamless deployment, maintenance, security, and lifecycle management of all end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and other peripherals. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of device management technologies, a strong leadership background, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class end-user experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall strategy for end-user device management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and IT strategy.
  • Lead a team of device management professionals, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other IT leaders to ensure seamless integration of end-user devices with enterprise infrastructure.

Device Management & Deployment:

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of all end-user devices, including Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
  • Ensure that device provisioning processes are efficient, automated where possible, and meet the needs of various departments.
  • Manage and optimize the device lifecycle process, including procurement, deployment, support, and retirement.

Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations by implementing appropriate security measures (encryption, MDM, etc.).
  • Manage endpoint protection strategies to safeguard against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce secure usage policies for all end-user devices.

Support & Optimization:

  • Lead efforts to improve the end-user experience by proactively identifying and resolving device-related issues.
  • Analyze and optimize device performance, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Establish KPIs and SLAs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of device management services.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing end-user devices.
  • Strong knowledge of device management platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Jamf, or VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management), endpoint security, and device lifecycle management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
  • Strong understanding of security standards and compliance requirements for device management.

Preferred:

  • Experience in large-scale enterprises with global device management responsibilities.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Apple Certified IT Professional.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
