Requirements

The primary responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Intern will be to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of power vehicles, industrial machinery, HVAC, and other mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment throughout the Fitesa campus.

Education Requirements:

• Candidate must be in pursuit or in possession of an Mechatronics or other Industrial maintenance related degree program.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.

Technical Competencies:

• Intermediate level user of software programs such as MS Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully pass a background check and pre-hire drug screen.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require lifting, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of material 50lbs or more.
