**What Youll Do**

The Zinus Inventory Control Manager is an expert who re-examines the inventory plans to ensure products are available to meet internal demand and is hands on. Analyzes inventory levels, production speeds, and product demand to determine levels which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs. Requires a knowledge of the purchasing process, demand planning, and equipment output.

Responsibilities

Oversees the quality control of inventory, actively involved in cycle counts plans

Plans layout and utilization of warehouse space, considers inventory turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.

Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.

Schedules and participates in, work for special and periodic inventories. Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

Support plant cost reduction teams, analyze data in SAP and generate reports on inventory.

Reviews the records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequate inventory levels.

Generate necessary reports for sales, demand planners, and finance regarding inventory.

Supervise cycle counters in the warehouse. Plan the work schedule for the cycle counters. Train employees on all procedures of the warehouse and all company rules and regulations.

Provides leadership and guidance to cycle counters in the warehouse.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.

Ad hoc projects and analysis to support the manager, director, senior and executive management

Performs other duties as required.

Working Conditions: Approximately 30% travel.

**Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications**

5+ years experience in related inventory Control and/or Warehouse Management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Knowledge and understanding of SAP FI/MM/WM reporting is required.

Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good planning and priority setting skills.

May be required to work long hours and weekends.

Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
