Description:

We are looking to hire a Full-Time front desk/medical reception staff at our Powdersville clinic. Street address: 11402 Anderson Rd Suite A, Powdersville, SC 29611Scheduling is 8am-8pm. Full-Time is 3, (12) hour shifts per week. There are rotating weekends and occasional holidays involved in the schedule. Our schedule comes out on a monthly basis. Employees will have a 'home' location, and there may be occasional travel to different locations.Job descriptionThe Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact between the patient and clinical staff. Patient check in, insurance verification, collection of co-pays and balances, various other front office duties. The front office position plays a vital role of ensuring & exceeding the expectations of the patient with the Prisma Health Urgent Care experience.Responsibilities:Greet patients and provide instructions to all visitors in a polite and professional mannerAnalyze health insurance benefits, verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information regarding payment policies and billing/collection processesMaintain the readiness of the Prisma Health Urgent Care reception areaPerform clerical tasks and adhere to established policies and proceduresDetermine and collect each patient's financial responsibilityAssist the practice manager and other staff as requiredProvide overall support for Physicians and office operationsObtain and document patient historyUnderstand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirementsCollect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentialityPerform office procedures including all general administrative dutiesDocument Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventionsAssure HIPAA and OSHA complianceMay be asked to travel to nearby Prisma Health Urgent Care locations to support the staffMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prefer at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting.Urgent care experience preferred, but not required.Ability to work 8am to 8pm 3 days/week, rotating weekends and holidays.Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination. Certification & experience as a medical assistant a plus, but not required.INDPH
